"Psychic powers..."

The excitement lasted only a moment.

Once he calmed down, Baimu turned off the Simulator and went out to register.

In the Pokémon World, psychic powers might require training to awaken and control, but only people born with the right talent could master them.

So if he lacked that talent, the Simulator's memories of its subject learning psychic powers would probably be useless to him...

Could he use them to train his Dragon Heart?

Perhaps.

But the next simulation was at least five days away, and if he didn't battle much, the cooldown would be even longer.

I need more roadside battles.

With that thought, Baimu walked across the suspension bridges between the great trees alongside Blissey. Each had a Dreepy perched on their head, drawing curious looks from passersby.

Fortree City's unusual environment left few main roads wide enough for convenient traffic. Residents usually traveled quickly in cable cars strung between the trees.

Flying Pokémon were permitted within the city too, provided they stayed above a certain height and their riders had flight licenses.

Whenever he looked up, he could see large birds carrying Trainers over the shaded canopy, some in neat formations, others scattered about.

He hadn't gone far.

Someone approached him for a battle.

Baimu readily agreed and intended to give Dragapult a chance to shine. But after looking around and asking Dreepy Little Brother, he learned Dragapult hadn't even left the room, so he gave up on that idea.

"It's up to you."

He took Dreepy Big Sister off Blissey's head and settled her on his own.

"Happy!"

Blissey nodded eagerly. It had been days since its last battle, and it wanted to perform well enough to earn a place in the Gym Challenge.

Because of the environment, Fortree City had few Battle Arenas.
