Background / History

Dai Mubai was originally a modern firefighter on Blue Star who died—or nearly died—while rescuing a child during a catastrophic flood. He awakened in the body of Dai Mubai, the third prince of the Star Luo Empire, at the Rose Hotel in Suotuo City. The body’s original owner had fled the Star Luo succession struggle and enrolled at Shrek Academy 1.

After absorbing the original Dai Mubai’s memories, he learned that the Star Luo imperial succession was a brutal contest in which failure could result in crippled cultivation and lifelong imprisonment. Rather than follow the future associated with Tang San, Dai Mubai resolved to build his own strength and remain independent 1.

He abandoned the original owner’s indulgent lifestyle and began a strict cultivation program. He recruited Ma Hongjun into demanding physical training, paid Oscar for a daily supply of Super Recovery Sausages, and funded improved food and medicinal baths at Shrek Academy with 30,000 Gold Soul Coins 2 3.

Under Zhao Wuji’s Gravity Enhancement training, Dai Mubai rapidly improved his physical foundation and Soul Power. He also recreated crude pistols using his knowledge from Blue Star and later chose a dangerous Darkgold Dreadclaw Bear as the source of his third Soul Ring instead of following the Star Luo royal family’s traditional Vajra Tiger route 4 6.

Dai Mubai’s knowledge of future events led him to the hidden cave containing the 100,000-year Blue Silver Emperor Right Leg Bone. He secretly removed and absorbed it, gaining powerful regeneration and flight abilities before returning to Shrek 7 8.

As Shrek’s senior student, he helped administer admissions and established himself as a Level 46 Soul Ancestor. His reunion with Zhu Zhuqing revived their relationship, while his interactions with Tang San, Ning Rongrong, and the other new students created both alliances and rivalries 9 15.

After securing the Icefire Yin Yang Well as a secret cultivation base, Dai Mubai broke through to Level 50 and developed the Two Forms Gengjin Divine Light. A failed attempt to hunt a nearly 50,000-year-old Winged Tiger forced him to recognize the limits of his current strength 48 49.
