Under the Ultramarines' watch, the Reaper Host's warship entered the Biel-Tan Craftworld and extended a gangway to form a boarding port.
Two transports followed, each extending two gangways. They formed two auxiliary passages on either side of the warship's gangway, creating a temporary, multilevel reception area above the port plaza.
Ultramarines filled the port plaza, posted at every vantage point and passage junction in case the Reaper Host suddenly lost its mind and attacked them.
The Reaper Host had no such intention.
Its members streamed out of the warship and stationed themselves on both sides of the gangways to check identities and maintain order.
The Biel-Tan Craftworld's civilians lined up like frightened birds. Members of the Reaper Host checked them one by one before admitting them aboard the warship.
The Aeldari had their own ways of verifying identities.
They used a scanner that swept everyone on the gangway from head to toe. A green light meant passage; a red light meant detention.
The Reaper Host knew exactly where it stood. It accepted only genuinely innocent civilians. When warriors, leaders, and a few people too consumed by anger tried to slip through, its members dragged them out and executed them without waiting for the Ultramarines to intervene.
The civilians allowed through bore no hatred. They only trembled, grateful to be alive.
The Ultramarines had made it clear that they had not invaded the Craftworld without cause. The Biel-Tan Craftworld's warriors had slaughtered innocent civilians first.
The Craftworld's civilians could not understand why their warriors had done it. All they could do was fall silent and weep.
At least other Aeldari were willing to take them in.
Power Swords claimed countless heads.
The Reaper Host's efficiency was chilling.
It had come to help Biel-Tan's civilians because the Aeldari population was so small.
