Once his initial shock passed, Green quickly spotted the Skeleton Lord.

The enormous, six-meter-tall skeleton was nimbly climbing the iron framework of the wheel-like structure. It soon reached another burial chamber and slammed a hand down on it. With a bang, bricks and stones flew, and runes vanished. That single blow punched a hole through the chamber. Then came a frenzy of demolition, as though it were venting its rage. A few minutes later, more than half the chamber had been torn apart. The runes that kept flashing across its surface finally dispersed completely, and the sealing magic circle crumbled to dust.

The next instant, a giant skeleton roughly as tall as the Skeleton Lord appeared.

Unlike the Skeleton Lord, however, this giant skeleton showed no signs of movement. Its thick bones lacked a metallic sheen, and it had none of that overwhelmingly powerful presence. The soulfire inside its enormous skull had been extinguished for who knew how long.

At the sight of the giant skeleton whose soulfire had gone out, the Skeleton Lord actually displayed grief, anger, and disappointment. Its soulfire blazed as it threw back its head and howled.

Watching this, Green glanced at the remaining burial chambers on the enormous wheel. Could they also contain sealed beings as powerful as the Skeleton Lord?

The mere thought made Green's scalp prickle. He could be certain that this Skeleton Lord possessed the supernatural might of Legendary Rank. Even Rota, the Angel Corpse Witch he had just acquired, would not last more than a few blows against it. Yet nine such powerful monsters had been sealed inside this tomb! It was almost unimaginable what caliber of powerhouse had built this mausoleum.
