After careful consideration, Green decided to postpone building the Divine Shrine Altar. Repairing the Divine Core was tempting, but it was still too distant a prospect for him. He was only Formal Rank; to use the Divine Core to become a demigod, he would first have to reach Calamity Rank.

Besides, perfectly restoring the four-winged archangel and transforming the Shadow Red Dragon had already consumed all the Psychic Energy he had gained this time. Building the Divine Shrine Altar would require Divine Power Crystals.

Those Divine Power Crystals had formed after the God of Nature died, and the divine power within them was extremely faint. But Green still did not know what uses they might have beyond conversion into Psychic Energy. He did not want to waste them now and regret it later.

After seven days of isolation and questioning, Green and the other eleven survivors were finally permitted to leave the Oversight Department at the Anomalies Bureau's Fleidenburg headquarters.

All eleven had been key members of the Anomalies Bureau. Of the people Green knew, only Lola had survived. She owed it entirely to her identity as a Spirit Tamer: with War Spirit Infusion, she had managed to cling on until the end.

The other survivors each had their own remarkable traits. Anyone who lived through a disaster that killed over a million people had more than luck on their side. One woman in her forties, an early-stage Formal Rank, could turn her body to liquid. She had hidden early in Faerun City's deepest sewers and, when the city was severed from reality and merged into another world, remained in a wastewater tank more than ten meters below ground.

Another survivor was a young man who had joined the Anomalies Bureau only a few years ago. Just a High-Rank Apprentice
