After the ravens were transformed, they looked much the same. Only their eyes held a deeper deathly stillness, and an extremely unstable surge of Psychic Energy simmered inside their bodies. Anyone with keen senses could tell they were flying bombs of flesh and blood. This was another drawback of Suicide Crows: their intense Psychic Energy fluctuations made them easy for enemies to detect, intercept, or evade.

"Hmph! Hounds of that evil Viscount, villains who help him commit his crimes—let the bombs of flesh and blood give you a taste of what's coming!" Selina landed atop the highest spire of the Viscount's Mansion as though she had found a treasure. She ended her Crow Transformation and returned to human form, then gathered the ravens scattered around her and transformed them into Suicide Crows one by one.

Selina had also ended her transformation to conserve Magic Power. Crow Transformation drained it constantly, and while transformed, she could not create eight Suicide Crows in one go.

Once she finished, Selina knelt on the spire's pointed roof, gripping the Lightning Rod with one hand as she leaned out to look below. Killing intent flashed in her eyes. She scanned the figures in the courtyard, picked the densest cluster, and sent two Suicide Crows hurtling down like black arrows with a thought.

The next instant, boom, boom! Two blazing red fireballs erupted amid the crowd.

The Suicide Crows' flesh and feathers sprayed outward under the force of the explosions like shrapnel. Along with the blasts of flame, they engulfed more than a dozen people. Seven died on the spot, while nine others fell to the ground gravely wounded, screaming in agony. Burns covered much of their bodies, and flying fragments had torn open their flesh.
