Against this backdrop, Freya and the other nineteen were sent to the Factory District. They drove off a few vagrants who had settled nearby and took over three factory buildings as a base for the Shadow Trade Association's expansion.
Fifteen Shadow Warriors were sent to patrol the area. That left Freya, Selina, Owen, Hard, and Wadney as the leadership of the newly established Shadow Trade Association. As the Divine Agent, Freya became its supreme leader. Owen and Hard were hardly thrilled about taking orders from a little girl, but they had seen the Four-Winged Angel and the Dark Red Great Dragon in the Graveyard. They had also heard Freya and Selina speak of "Your Holiness" and "the Deity" with an earnest devotion that, absurd as it sounded, convinced them that the great being from another world truly was a Deity. Since that being had put Freya in charge, neither man dared voice a complaint, however uneasy he felt.
As for Wadney, he had been a soldier. He obeyed his commanding officer's orders.
"My lady, His Holiness charged us with developing the Shadow Trade Association in Fleidenburg. What should we do next?" Hard was quick-witted, the sort of man who could serve as an adviser. He felt duty-bound to help Lady Freya carry out the great task His Holiness had entrusted to her.
Freya turned a cool gaze on Hard, looking at him as though he were an inanimate object. The aura of a Formal-Rank Transcendent bore down on him without warning. Hard, Owen, and Wadney all caught their breath. Hard was especially stunned. He had never imagined that a girl who looked no older than eleven or twelve could possess such power.
