From the Spirit World, Green looked toward Saint Ivan Cathedral. He saw no sacred radiance and sensed no power of a miracle. Instead, he saw a glowing golden metal sphere hovering above the cathedral. It was three meters across and had a pair of wings.
"What is that?" Green wondered. He had never seen anything like it.
He could sense tremendous power within the winged metal sphere. It had not reached High Legendary, though. At most, it was on par with the Shadow Red Dragon—a Mid-Level Legendary. But judging by its position, the Holy Light Miracle visible in the Main World had to be coming from it. The miracle was a sham, yet it had cowed the otherworldly allied forces and their five Legendary champions into abandoning their attack and preparing to withdraw.
The Holy Light Church really is cunning, Green thought with a sigh. He turned his gaze toward Saint Tower Academy.
The Cyclops and Centaur who had been guarding the Mage Tower had begun to fall back. They were joining the other three, ready to retreat at once.
Green could imagine how the five Legendary champions felt after coming so close only to fail. "What would they do," he murmured, "if they learned there was no miracle at all, just a bluff?"
A mischievous smile touched his lips. With a thought, he summoned a Ghost from the Graveyard.
Ghosts were creatures of the Spirit World. Green had originally planned to phase out his Ghost summons and free up population capacity. But after gaining the ability to enter the Spirit World, he had changed his mind. Unlike other Undead, Ghosts could move freely here. Undead with physical bodies that could not spiritualize would be bound the instant they entered the Spirit World, even if Green managed to summon them
