Though the Clay Golem was enormous, it was only a fourth-tier unit, equivalent to a Low Formal Rank fighter.
Barbarian Niderland was already an advanced Totem Warrior. The two were in different leagues, so it was no surprise that he split the Clay Golem's toughest fist and arm with a single stroke.
Green wasn't surprised. He had expected as much. But the Clay Golem was more than a lump of mud. It paid no mind to its ruined arm and brought its other massive fist crashing down.
Niderland's eyes narrowed. The towering phantom of a brown bear burst into view around him—his Totem Power. With a roar, he wrenched his greatsword free and raised it overhead to meet the Clay Golem's fist.
Boom! Niderland was hammered backward. He landed and slid ten meters, gripping his sword in both hands as he stared up with a grim expression.
The Clay Golem fared no better: the huge fist that struck his sword broke clean off. Its massive body then lumbered through the Portal and jumped down outside Vanguard Camp. Boom! Its feet hit the ground, and its chest rose above the four-meter wall. Mud churned across its shattered arms. In less than two breaths, they were whole again, and it strode toward the Barbarian ten meters away.
Despite its size, the Clay Golem wasn't agile. Its long legs carried it forward in two steps, and it swung both fists down at the Barbarian.
Niderland's gaze sharpened. He didn't consider the Clay Golem a threat, but he didn't try to block it either. He stepped back, let its attack miss, then surged forward and slashed at its head with lightning speed.
Thwack! His Totem Power-infused greatsword cut through the Clay Golem's head as though it were rotten wood.
A flicker of surprise crossed
