Background and History

Cyrabelle is Grand Duke Mora’s daughter and a member of the Prady royal lineage, though she was born out of wedlock. She received an elite Transcendent education, including study at the Divine Eagle Empire’s Imperial Academy. By her introduction, she is a count, lieutenant general, and director of the Lorenzo Kingdom’s Anomalies Bureau in Void World No. 12. Her campaign against the Revolutionary Army has already earned her the name “The Butcher” 284 347 397 615.

Northern Province campaign

While recruiting Transcendents for a campaign against the Northern Province rebellion, Cyrabelle requisitions Green, who is posing as Baron Wood Slater. She protects her troops from the severe cold with army-wide magic, advances methodically, and has nobles executed when corruption threatens military supplies 284 285 286.

When a large rebel force attacks Second Forward Camp, she refuses to retreat and opens the battle with a devastating solo strike. She later kills the White Dragon Sisonawa and captures his soul, but a Psychic Energy bomb disrupts her spatial magic and nearly kills her. Green rescues her through a portal; she acknowledges the debt and appoints him her adjutant. The appointment also allows her to remove her longtime attendant Lena from increasingly dangerous front-line service 294 298 300 301 302.

Cyrabelle’s army destroys the rebels at Frank Town. She freezes their bodies into a fifty-meter-high Corpse Monument as a warning to future enemies 306.

Stinnard and Red Fortress

Back in Stinnard, Cyrabelle’s military becomes one of three major power centers alongside the government and royal court. She gives Green control of the capital’s Anomalies Bureau and security forces while she campaigns, judging that his strength and self-interest will keep wavering factions in check 312 347.

At Red Fortress, Cyrabelle faces a better-trained Revolutionary Army and the death of her trusted general, James. She agrees that Green may raise James as a Lich only if James chooses continued existence for himself. After an apparent retreat, she detonates explosives buried beneath the fortress, then leads a counterattack and occupies two High-Level Legendary opponents while Green commands the main assault 382 383 386 387.

Accession and reign

After Grand Duke Mora’s disappearance, Green proposes Cyrabelle as a replacement for King Prady XIV. She argues that disloyal nobles must be purged to restore the weakened kingdom. Prady abdicates, and Cyrabelle becomes queen 614 615 616.

Her ensuing Blood Moon Coup brings mass arrests, executions, and confiscations. The purge weakens Lorenzo severely but also breaks the old nobility’s hold on government; Cyrabelle installs loyal replacements and restores order under military administration 617 620. Later, she orders another nationwide crackdown against followers of Modi’s revolutionary movement, despite Grand Duke Prady’s plea for restraint 707.

By a later meeting with Green, Cyrabelle has reached Mid Calamity Rank. She reveals that Mora is attempting to make her a deity by integrating a fragment of divine flesh into her body. She says she chose the procedure, although she resents being treated as a test subject 818 819.

Appearance

Cyrabelle is described as a youthful, bright-eyed woman whose gentle expression contrasts with her reputation. She wears a white or ivory mage’s robe trimmed with gold during the Void World campaign 284 285.

Personality

Cyrabelle combines personal care for loyal subordinates with extreme ruthlessness toward opponents. She protects soldiers from the cold, moves Lena out of danger, and gives James a choice about becoming undead. She also uses subtle magical suggestions to strengthen troops’ willingness to fight and repeatedly employs mass killing as a political or military tool 285 301 383 617 707.

Her reckless battlefield image is misleading. She rejects the apparently valuable Golden Nightmare because she recognizes it may be a trap, and she turns the Red Fortress withdrawal into a prepared counterattack. She can be more relaxed and playful in private, particularly when correcting Green’s magic, but does not mistake their useful alliance for unconditional trust 301 347 386.
