The Virus Nest was enormous, no smaller than a Titan Spider. It resembled a snail and could crawl along the ground, though very slowly. On its back sat a huge spiral Poison Sac that sprayed spores carrying the Undead Virus once every minute.

The virus-bearing spores numbered in the hundreds of thousands. They drifted on the air and clung to everything they touched. The Undead Virus had little effect on the living: at worst, it left them listless, feverish, weak, and aching all over, much like a cold. But once an infected person died, the virus took hold at once, turning the corpse into a Zombie or another Undead creature.

Muleisina had developed this virus herself. She had originally wanted one that could turn living creatures directly into Undead—not just humans, but other beings too, including Transcendent races. Her ultimate goal was an Undead Virus capable of infecting high-ranking Transcendent life-forms.

Muleisina still had a long way to go. Her Undead Virus had only a limited effect on the living, so she had settled for infecting corpses instead, rapidly turning them into Undead and allowing the Undead Army's low-ranking units to multiply quickly.

As one of Princess Mulesina's key subordinates, the Spider Queen had direct access to the Undead Virus.
