Green breathed a sigh of relief, but his expression changed again. The Ghost Eye was trembling faintly, as though something were about to burst out of it!
"Not good!" Green cried inwardly. The Ghost Eye was his most important magical item at this stage. He was counting on it to subdue the last Xignos Banshee, so he could not let it be damaged under any circumstances. Whatever was happening, the soul fragment he had just drawn inside must be struggling. The Ghost Eye clearly could not withstand it and would break before long.
"Fine. If you want to die, I'll oblige." Green swiftly weighed his options. Reluctant as he was, he made up his mind. He had intended to use the Ghost Eye to turn the soul fragment into an Evil Spirit or Ghost, then bring it into the Graveyard. But the fragment was evidently too powerful for the Ghost Eye; transforming it was out of the question. As for taking it directly into the Graveyard, he had just tried and received no prompt. Even inside the Ghost Eye, the fragment had not been recognized by the Graveyard as subdued.
Green was deeply disappointed, but to preserve the Ghost Eye, he had no choice but to release it.
