On the Lorenzo Kingdom's side, the mage corps in the rear began preparing a large-scale spell.
The anti-aircraft guns were readied. Behind the First Defensive Line, soldiers busily pulled the covers off two enormous devices, revealing machines similar to the Divine Eagle Empire's Calamity Cannons.
These were not Calamity Cannons, however. The Divine Eagle Empire would never sell such devastating weapons to another country, not even an ally like the Lorenzo Kingdom.
But the next best thing, Legendary Cannons, was another matter. Operated by Legendary Rank fighters, these superweapons were nowhere near as powerful as Calamity Cannons. In the hands of peak Legendary fighters, though, they were more than capable of dealing with the Asgar Kingdom's armored airships.
Two peak Legendary Transcendents stood behind the cannons. Both unleashed their full Psychic Energy and poured it into the weapons.
A pale blue ball of light gathered before one cannon's muzzle, accompanied by a rumble like an approaching train. The Legendary Cannon had reached its limit.
The Lorenzo Kingdom had specifically found two peak Legendary fighters to draw out the cannons' full power.
About ten seconds later, a thunderous boom rang out. A blue ball of light shot toward the airship at the front.
Behind the Asgar Kingdom's forces, Old Bakin and Virgin looked surprised. Neither had expected the Lorenzo Kingdom to be hiding such a powerful weapon.
They could hardly stand by and watch one of their airships get blown apart the moment it appeared. Old Bakin acted at once, turning his Colossus to intercept the shot with its enormous palm. Its fingers clenched, and with a soft pop, the terrifying ball of light—powerful enough to kill a peak Legendary fighter—vanished.
The attack had been stopped, but the Asgar Kingdom's three armored airships could advance no farther. Without getting into range,
