After blasting the giant rift monster apart, Green immediately ordered the Undead Cannon to adjust its firing arc and aim at the main teaching building covered in flesh.
Boom~~~ Boom~~~ Boom~~~
The cannon fired in rapid succession, slamming Psychic Energy-infused shells into the fleshy building. Each hit blasted a crater two meters across, spraying writhing flesh in all directions. A gray-white ring formed around each impact, keeping the surrounding flesh from creeping back.
"Ah! Oh~~ Mm~~ Awooo~~~"
Another incomprehensible howl rang out amid the flying flesh. It was a cry of pain and fury, tinged with fear.
The bombardment tore through more than the flesh on the surface. It riddled the concrete beneath with holes. After a dozen or so shots, one of the support columns at the front of the building collapsed. With a thunderous crash, the hall came down.
Green stared in surprise. He had never imagined that a teaching building that looked so sturdy could be such shoddy construction!
But as the dust settled and he saw the structure inside what remained of the building, he understood. After the flesh had enveloped it, the entire building's structure had changed. Strong acid carried by the flesh had corroded many of the floors, beams, and columns. It still looked like a building from the outside, but it was little more than a hollow shell, its framework dangerously fragile.
The collapse of the hall also exposed an enormous chamber inside. There, an unbelievably huge heart was beating—thump, thump, thump!
"What is that?" Green had never seen a heart so large. It stood two stories high. Any creature with a heart that size would probably be bigger than a cruiser.
"Damn it! It's the Heart of Nature! Those lunatics from the Nature Church actually made it!" Peter had seen more of
