For the past few decades, a powerful Human City-State had held the oasis. With formidable infantry and strong city walls, it had defeated the nearby Orcs and Elves. Through bribes and payments, it had also hired a Calamity-Rank Green Dragon to guard the City-State.
But a few days ago, the Green Dragon had suddenly grown restless. He circled overhead, staring southeast with fear in his eyes, as though something there threatened his life.
