But those few clues were not enough to make Link retreat. He came to the small lake anyway.

According to the Grand Elder, the superweapon was kept in a secret space at the bottom of the lake.

Link's expression was grave as he studied the modest-sized lake, trying to locate that space beneath it.

To his surprise, he could not see the lakebed clearly. Several areas appeared as shadows he could not probe.

"Just as I thought!" Link had expected this. From the moment he failed to read the relevant memories in the Grand Elder's soul, he had been certain a Deity had left something behind here as well.

"Should I go down?" Link murmured. It was a question, but as a clone, he had no choice.

With a splash, Link plunged into the lake and sank toward the bottom as fast as he could.

In the blink of an eye, the surface grew still, and everything returned
