Seven Spatial Anchors held the mysterious space in place, scattered beneath the lake.
Angdalagon quickly found six of them. Just as he was about to finish the job, he sensed a familiar presence.
The White Dragon froze, then turned his stiff neck to look back. His expression immediately fell.
Not far away, a dark-red behemoth far larger than he was swam slowly toward him, its tail swaying. When it saw him turn, its voice rang out. "Angdalagon, it really is you! My old friend, how wonderful to see you again. Smedley Tawa sends you his greetings."
"W-what are you doing here?!" The White Dragon trembled. At the sight of that massive, muscular red body, he looked like a mouse that had spotted its natural predator.
"What are you afraid of? It's not as if I'll eat you." Smedley Tawa opened his huge jaws, apparently trying to give him a friendly smile. But on that fierce, dark-red dragon face, it looked terrifying.
To Angdalagon, the Red Dragon might as well have been saying, "Tough luck, kid. I'm going to swallow you whole today! Heh heh heh..."
Both were Great Dragons living in the Mist World. Though the White Dragon and Red Dragon rarely crossed paths, there were so few Great Dragons that they knew each other well.
Angdalagon knew all too well that the Red Dragon before him, twice his size, did not have a pleasant temper.
"Heh... h-hello, Lord Smedley. What... what a coincidence, meeting you here." Angdalagon forced the words out while his mind raced, trying to work out why Smedley Tawa had appeared.
Clearly, the earlier disturbance had drawn more than just him and Apollo.
"What a coincidence indeed. I heard you went off to another world. Why come back? Wasn't it any good out there?" the Red
