Jason and Miel had assassinated so many Calamity-Rank Strong Ones that they naturally had extensive information on them.
Those files included some information on Green. But they said nothing about his activities in the Mist World, nor did they connect his identity as Grand Duke Alsa to the ruler of the Undead Empire.
Clearly, Jason, Miel, and the "True God" behind them were not all-knowing.
So when they saw Green and realized those two identities belonged to the same man, they were stunned. It seemed impossible!
"You..." Jason remained on guard. He did not trust Green's offer of help; he wanted to get Miel away, find somewhere safe and secluded, and treat their wounds.
But Miel could no longer hold on. Hercules the Mighty had struck her earlier. Though she had used a special method to divert most of the force and avoid being killed outright, the blow had still left her badly injured. She had barely managed to stay on her feet until now.
Before Jason could finish speaking, she lost consciousness and slumped against him. He was badly wounded himself.
Jason's heart sank. He knew he had no room left to bargain, unless he abandoned Miel and fled alone.
But could he do that? He had no choice but to put away his Sniper Rifle. With a wry smile, he said, "All right. I hope things go as you say. If Miel and I survive this, we'll be deeply grateful to you."
Green gave no answer. The Great Ape King appeared in the sky and took Jason and Miel aboard.
Jason, who was still conscious, was separated from Miel. She was placed directly into a Nutrient Pod filled with liquid.
Jason was taken to an adjacent room. A transparent window between the two rooms let him keep Miel
