But now was not the time. Green set the Wailing Banshee aside for the moment, only for a young police officer to suddenly rush in from outside in a panic.

"Tommy, what are you doing here?" Tam recognized his new colleague, who had only recently graduated from the police academy. Seeing his dreadful expression, he could not help feeling puzzled.

Green and Lola's attention was drawn over as well, and they looked at the young officer, who was drenched in sweat from running.

"S-something terrible happened! Just now... just now, that corpse in the morgue suddenly... suddenly came b-back to life! The director sent me to notify you two from the Anomalies Bureau right away!" Tommy spoke between gasps, clearly exhausted from racing over as fast as he could.

"The corpse came back to life?" Green immediately grew alert. He had only just examined that corpse and found nothing abnormal. How could it suddenly have come back to life?

"Calm down! Take your time!" Green's sharp command carried a force that shook Tommy's mind, bringing the panicked rookie officer back under control. He drew a deep breath, looked at Green, and gave a bitter smile. "Sir, it's true! I saw that corpse come back to life with my own eyes. It crawled out of the morgue's ice cabinet!"

The corpse was resurrected? Could it be an undead spell? Green frowned slightly. His first thought was of a Necromancer, but he dismissed it a moment later. No! It couldn't be an undead spell. That corpse had been tainted by a Hex Caster's spell and could no longer serve as material or a medium for undead spells. Besides, I examined it carefully. There were no traces of necromancy...

Seeing Green remain silent, Tommy gave another detailed account of what had happened.
