The character profile Claire had built for the Masked Man bore no resemblance to the identity he claimed.

Whether the Masked Man was one of Them or served Them, he was undoubtedly a being of immense power and exalted status.

He could not possibly be what the profile described: someone more like a middle-school student from a poor family.

Of course, there was another possibility: Claire's profile was completely wrong.

But Green thought that was highly unlikely. Claire's character profiles had been tested countless times. From lowly serfs to lofty deities, anyone could be profiled within her system, and the margin of error was no more than five percent.

Most people in this world would simply find the discrepancy strange. Even God Kings like Zeus and the Lord of Light would struggle to imagine why it had happened.

After racking their brains to no avail, they would conclude that the profile was wrong.

Green was different. Before crossing over, he had known about something called online games.

Viewed through that lens, everything made sense.

This Void World might itself be a game world, or some variation of one.

The people within it did not know their true circumstances, while the Masked Men were like players entering a game. Outside, one of them might be an ordinary teenager; here, he played a character of tremendous power.

Yet that explanation left plenty of questions unanswered. To Green, this Void World did not seem much like a conventional game world.

If it were a game, there should be more players. If it were a single-player game, it should have a main storyline and a protagonist cutting down all opposition. The Void World had neither.

Still, Green marked the possibility in his mind as an important line of investigation.
