In the vast Void, these Void Creatures had originally been rare sightings. Their numbers were substantial, but they were spread so widely that encounters were uncommon.
Recently, however, they seemed to sense an impending disaster, and their activity had grown increasingly frequent. When they discovered the Void Dockyard outside the World Crystal Wall, they charged at it like lions defending their territory, desperate to destroy it.
Green had prepared for this. Besides the dockyard's own defenses and the Red Queen standing guard, he had an army of mass-bred Wyverns.
Ever since it had become clear that he might never find the passage to the Interstellar World, Green had been preparing to stake everything on one last gamble.
He had pushed the Undead Empire's industrial capacity to its limit. He had also brought the Insect Race, previously kept hidden, into the open without restraint, breeding them on a massive scale, advancing their technology, and upgrading their units.
The Wyvern army guarding the Void Dockyard was the product of maxed-out Insect Race technology. Its armor, propulsion, and attack power had all reached the limits of the species.
Thirty seconds later, battle erupted!
The Red Queen fired first. Its Main Cannon, mounted amidships, unleashed a terrifying red beam that instantly cleared a swath through the densely packed Void Jellyfish.
Against a Strategic Cruiser's Main Cannon, the Void Jellyfish had little defense. Even a glancing hit vaporized them.
But there were simply too many of them, especially when they gathered together!
That single shot from the Red Queen killed at least ten thousand Void Jellyfish, yet it barely made a dent in the swarm.
The Red Queen's attack sounded the opening salvo. The New Hope fired its Main Cannon next, followed by the Void Dockyard's defensive guns and the oddly shaped Insect Anti-Aircraft Turrets
