Corpse Witch Penny's Debut (3)

Outside, Green watched Penny's fight through Visual Synchronization and frowned. Something felt strange. Was this really a Corpse Witch? She was swinging a huge scythe and hacking away. No matter how he looked at it, this was nothing like a Corpse Witch's fighting style!

Unfortunately, no one could answer Green's questions. After turning it over in his mind, he could only conclude that Penny was a hero unit who had retained most of her original memories, causing some changes. Whether those changes were good or bad remained unclear; he would have to observe her further and gather more data.

Meanwhile, the Reaper Scythe swept out, and another gunman fell beneath Penny's blade. She was beginning to get the hang of it: strike once, then move. Her figure darted aside, and she even dodged the giant eyeball's final attack!

Once Penny entered combat, her face went blank and her mind turned utterly calm. She charged straight at the next enemy!

Bang, bang, bang... Bang, bang, bang...

The gunmen who had been surrounding Peter Pan abandoned their original target and focused all their fire on Penny. With their strength, though, they had no hope of stopping the slaughter.

Within a few breaths, two more sharp whooshes cut through the air. The Enchanted Pistols that had been spitting flame fell silent for good. The last two gunmen turned into eyeballs and unleashed their final attacks...
