Early life and Minato’s team

Despite belonging to the Uchiha clan, Obito is regarded as its disgrace because his talent falls below the clan’s demanding standards. This shared experience of being looked down upon helps him become one of Long Ye’s only two friends during Long Ye’s first year in Konoha 2.

Obito trains under Minato with Kakashi and Rin, later welcoming Long Ye into their training group. He enthusiastically declares that Long Ye’s addition will help Team 7 become Konoha’s greatest team, while using the occasion to tease Kakashi 17.
