With the final word typed, this book was officially complete.
To be honest, it was a little rushed, and I wasn't entirely satisfied with the ending either. But I was already very satisfied that I managed to finish it properly.
This book was published on January 16, 2022. From then until today, November 20, 2022, it had been exactly ten months. I wrote a total of 1.33 million words—at least 4,000 words a day on average.
That volume was somewhat unbelievable to me.
Although there were times when I nearly couldn't keep going, overall, I still persevered.
Above all, I want to thank everyone for your support and encouragement. Sometimes, it truly warmed my heart.
Especially a few days ago—I had even forgotten my own birthday. It was only when a reader reminded me that I remembered. I was genuinely very touched.
As for this book, there were things I was satisfied with and things I wasn't.
What I was satisfied with:
I wrote in everything I could think of regarding One Piece—not just simple fighting and killing, but also some of my own thoughts on One Piece's plot.
Aside from the early ideas about Luffy's Devil Fruit, there was also Rocks' resurrection at the end and Uranus' true form.
First, I have to say that when I look for Oda's real intentions and settings in One Piece, I generally look at the arcs before Fish-Man Island. That's because I feel that the arcs before Fish-Man Island were the One Piece story Oda truly wanted to write, while everything after Fish-Man Island was written just to bring the story to an end.
