Arc 1The Sewer Escape

Heka stole blood-stained gold, hid with Tuft of Hair, and drew the attention of the authorities and gangs. After killing Foucault and surviving severe hunger, Heka decided to seek help from the Black Mountain Merchants and arranged a meeting at Vivian Bathhouse.

  • Heka stole sixteen blood-stained Huika Gold Coins and negotiated a share of the Graytooth Gang's money with a wounded enforcer.
  • Heka hid with Tuft of Hair in a vacant villa, while Elwin investigated Mr. Laide's murder and the magistrate's men searched for the stolen money.
  • Heka trained his skills, taught Tuft of Hair to read in exchange for lessons, and left their sewer shelter to buy supplies and a short sword.
  • Heka retrieved food from Walin's naval supply warehouse, but the old guard recognized him and alerted Foucault, who mobilized children to watch for him.
  • Heka fought his way into the sewers, killed Foucault and several attackers, then spent a reward point on Constitution as his body weakened from blood loss and hunger.
  • Tuft of Hair hauled Heka back into the shelter and bought food, while Blood Sparrow's captain ordered Heka's picture and name distributed.
  • Heka saw wanted posters bearing his portrait, prepared to leave with Tuft of Hair, and chose to seek the Black Mountain Merchants instead of escaping by ship.
  • Heka forced a shop owner to arrange a meeting at Vivian Bathhouse and led Tuft of Hair through a concealed sewer passage into the bathhouse.

Arc 2The Sewer Route

Heka earned the Black Mountain Merchants’ protection by mapping a hidden route through the Dungeon, while surviving rival attacks that left Martin injured and Heka wounded. After recovering and training with Deko, Heka guided the crew through the sewers toward a warehouse, where they reached a massive boulder.

  • Heka persuaded the Black Mountain Merchants’ leader to accept his sewer proposal, then searched the archives for a dry route and possible warehouses.
  • Heka mapped Seapeak Port’s districts and identified an abandoned transshipment point beneath the Golden Horseshoe Carriage Company for Riel.
  • Father Alwin treated Martin’s head, but Podoli and other enemies ambushed the escort, killing Carpenter and forcing Heka’s carriage to crash.
  • Heka fought the attackers alongside Carpenter Who Isn't Called Carpenter and Thirl, then killed Thirl after Thirl turned on him.
  • Heka recovered, learned Tuft of Hair was named Martin, and delayed claiming his challenge reward so he could save it to heal himself.
  • Deko trained Heka in basic sword movements, and Heka gained Sword Sense while practicing.
  • Heka drove back a rat swarm in the sewers as Deko suspected a Ratfolk outpost, and the crew reached a massive boulder.
