Achieving His Goal

Hancock had agreed to Ryan's request so easily, even though Lily had spent ages trying to persuade her without getting anywhere.

Lily began to question everything.

But she had weathered plenty of storms, and she quickly caught the key point in Ryan's words.

"What's the Freedom Alliance?"

How had she not known Hancock had joined this organization? All three sisters had joined, too. Lily needed to find out more.

"Uh, Hancock and the others didn't tell you?" Ryan looked at Lily curiously.

Another blow where it hurt!

One blow after another—even someone as thick-skinned as Lily was struggling to take it.

Ryan then explained what the Freedom Alliance mainly did. He knew this old woman was the brains of the Kuja, perhaps the only clever person here.

"Overthrow the World Government!" Lily cried out when she heard him.

Even Hancock and her sisters looked puzzled. They remembered the Freedom Alliance having a different goal when they joined.

Seeing their confusion, Ryan explained, "That's right. The Freedom Alliance's goal now is to overthrow the World Government and build a world with more freedom and equality!"

"The more I learn, the more I realize how rotten this world has become. Only by tearing it down and rebuilding it can we give it new life!"

Admiration filled the eyes of all three sisters.

Perhaps everyone who had suffered oppression or enslavement under the World Government had entertained that thought at some point. Reality had simply taught them it was impossible.

To Hancock and her sisters, Ryan seemed to shine.

What made someone a hero? A hero did what countless others wanted to do but dared not attempt. That was what Ryan had become to them.

That was why, when Ryan proposed overthrowing the World Government and building a new world, Tiger and the
