"Caw!"

The raven on Carl's shoulder let out a chilling cry at the sight of the Water Water Meat before it, its crimson eyes frantically hinting at Carl. Bulu turned to look as well, practically drooling.

Having just drawn five million Beli, Carl boldly called out to the owner, "I'll take all this Water Water Meat."

The slightly plump female owner's face lit up. "Yes, yes, officer. Please wait a moment, I'll pack it up right away!"

Eating Water Water Meat, drinking a special beverage, and taking in the unique scenery, Carl could not help but sigh. Life in the Marines really was so simple, unadorned, and dull.

"Galley-La Shipyard?"

Seeing the shipyard's name, Carl fell into thought. It seemed Iceburg had not yet merged Water 7's shipyards, so those CP9 people naturally would not be undercover here.

Bulu Bulu~

"It's me, Carl."

"Colonel, pirates have landed on Scrap Island, but they aren't the Blaze Pirates."

"Who are they? Judging by their pirate flag, they should be the White Wolf Pirates. Their captain is White Wolf Wolf, with a bounty of 43.5 million Beli."

"I'll be right there. Keep an eye on them."

"Yes, sir."

Carl stroked the Raven on his shoulder and said softly, "I'm counting on you!"

Raven nodded, flew into the sky, and gradually grew larger until it was the size of a water buffalo. Carl nodded in satisfaction and used Geppo to reach Raven's back.

"Let's go!" "Caw!"

Raven carried Carl over Water 7. Soon, they reached Scrap Island, and Carl patted Raven's head after spotting the pirate ship moored by the shoreline.

"Here. Fly down."

"Boss, is this Water 7? It's so prosperous! This place must be loaded, right?"

Captain Wolf smacked his underling on the head in frustration. "Idiot, we came here to get a new ship, not to make trouble!"

"If we draw the Marines here, how are we supposed to escape on this piece of junk?"

The underling clutched his aching head and hurriedly said, "Right, right, right. Boss is wise."

Only then did Wolf nod in satisfaction. He called for his men to land on Scrap Island, preparing to enter Water 7 quietly.

"Boss! What's that in the sky?" "An eagle? A black eagle?"

Wolf raised a hand against the sunlight and narrowed his eyes at the sky.

"No, there's someone on it. Everyone, stay alert!!!"

"Caw!"

Raven began descending. At a height of around thirty meters, Carl jumped from Raven's back and landed with a bang before the wary pirates.

"Captain White Wolf Wolf, bounty 43.5 million Beli. First mate Black Wolf Daff, bounty 18 million Beli. On behalf of the Marines, I'm here to inform you."

"You're surrounded. Surrender peacefully!"

Wolf's heart skipped a beat as he hurriedly looked around. But he saw nothing. There was junk everywhere—where were the Marines?

"Boss, there are no Marines around. He's bluffing us!"

"Damn Marine, kill her!"

Wolf's underlings raised their guns, aimed at Carl, and pulled the triggers without hesitation.

Bang bang bang~

Clang clang clang~

Carl could not be bothered to twist and turn to dodge the bullets, so she simply coated her entire body in Armament Haki and blocked them all.

"W-What kind of ability is that? She can block bullets?"

Wolf was horrified. So ignorant that he did not even know what Haki was, he merely assumed Carl was a Devil Fruit user like himself.

The other pirate grunts were equally bewildered. They only felt that Carl's strength was unfathomable. Even their most reliable guns could not hurt her—just how strong was she?

"How rude!"

Carl slowly extended her right hand. Raven descended onto it and transformed into a completely black longsword, the wings on its guard lifelike and vivid.

"Are you ready to die, pirates?"

The moment she finished speaking, Carl swept her blade sideways, sending a massive golden Flying Slash toward the White Wolf Pirates.

White Wolf Wolf instinctively threw himself to the ground, but the others were not so lucky.

Amid scream after scream, the standing pirates were cut in two. Even the pirate ship moored behind them was cleaved apart, its upper half slowly sliding into the sea and splashing up water.

"No! No, my men!"

Seeing the horrific scene behind him, Wolf cried out in grief. His gaze at Carl was filled with terror. Had his beastly instincts not saved his life just now, he would have ended up like his men.

"Well, well, worthy of being the captain. You really have some skills. Aren't you an ability user? Show me what you've got."

"Don't look down on me, Marine! Underestimating me will cost you!!!"

"Awooo~"

Wolf let out an enraged roar and transformed into a majestic giant white wolf. His green eyes stared at Carl without emotion.

"I'll eat your flesh and drink your blood to avenge my brothers! Die!"

Carl smiled faintly, and her figure abruptly vanished. She appeared before Wolf and brought her blade down.

"Arghhhhh! It hurts like hell!"

Wolf's body collapsed uncontrollably to his knees, because both his forepaws had been severed by Carl.

"I'm Carl, a Colonel from Marine Headquarters. You're under arrest!"

He was just an ordinary animal-type ability user. Before Carl, he could only be instantly defeated. Raven truly was an excellent blade; in Carl's eyes, it was no worse than a Great Grade Sword.

"Hello, hello. The pirates have been taken care of. Come over."

After notifying the Marines, Carl waited where she was. Looking at the azure sea, she could not help but send out several more Flying Slashes to see how far they could travel.

Watching the Flying Slashes vanish from sight, Carl shook her head. They had gone too far to calculate the distance.

At this moment, the Marines stationed near Scrap Island arrived. Although many of them had already seen what happened through their binoculars, they still felt nauseated upon approaching.

Blood and severed limbs were everywhere. There was now a trace of fear in their eyes as they looked at Carl. Colonel Carl appeared quite easygoing, but she showed absolutely no mercy toward pirates—she was even ruthless.

"Colonel, did you do all this?"

Carl shrugged. "Who else? Arrest that guy. Oh, he's an ability user, so remember to put Seastone handcuffs on him."

"Yes, ma'am!"

Nelson's expression turned solemn as he quickly called for the soldiers to restrain Wolf and take him away.

"Ma'am, what should we do with the pirate ship and the bodies?"

Carl patted Nelson on the shoulder. "You're already a mature Marine. Learn to handle problems yourself."

With that, Carl swaggered toward Water 7. On with the music, on with the dancing.

Nelson was stunned at first, then became wildly excited. Colonel Carl trusted him so much—he absolutely could not betray Colonel Carl's trust.

"You three, throw these pirate corpses into the sea!"

"You three, hurry and collect the spoils before the pirate ship sinks!"

"Yes, Lieutenant Nelson!"
