Ch. 41Lu Ge vs Kizaru

Lu Ge defeated Kizaru by predicting and countering his movements with his time and Door-Door abilities, but Sengoku, Aokiji, Garp, Zephyr, and Akainu arrived. Lu Ge powered himself up and began a head-on clash with Zephyr.

  • Kizaru blocked Lu Ge's slash with a light sword, but Lu Ge broke it and badly wounded Kizaru's hands.
  • Lu Ge used his time ability and a Dark Door to predict Kizaru's escape and stab him through the chest.
  • Sengoku attacked Lu Ge as he withdrew his blade, and Aokiji caught Kizaru and froze his chest wound to stop the bleeding.
  • Lu Ge recognized Sengoku, Aokiji, Garp, Zephyr, and Akainu and decided to test his strength against the Marines.
  • Lu Ge activated his future power and Nascent Dimensional Power, then met Zephyr's charge with a Haki-coated physical blow.

Ch. 42Buddha Sengoku

Lu Ge overwhelmed Zephyr in a physical clash, then faced Sengoku and the other Marines as Kizaru explained how Lu Ge’s Door-Door Fruit redirected attacks. The chapter ended with Sengoku bringing down his giant Buddha hand and Lu Ge preparing to contain it with a massive door.

  • Lu Ge sent Zephyr flying with a single punch, and Sengoku caught him in midair.
  • Zephyr and Sengoku warned the others about Lu Ge’s strength, while Kizaru revealed his Door-Door Fruit abilities and his title as the World’s Strongest Swordsman.
  • Sengoku ordered the Marines to attack, and Aokiji handed the injured Kizaru to medics as Akainu charged at Lu Ge with Meigo.
  • Lu Ge redirected Akainu’s attack behind Sengoku, scorching Sengoku’s back and prompting him to forbid reckless long-range attacks.
  • Sengoku attacked Lu Ge with his giant Buddha hand, and Lu Ge declared that he could open a door large enough to contain it.

Ch. 43Fighting Five to One

Lu Ge fought Sengoku and proved strong enough to force the giant Buddha back, then caught Zephyr’s surprise punch and began devouring his Armament Haki. As Garp launched Galaxy Impact, Lu Ge opened a dark door to avoid fighting him directly.

  • Lu Ge dodged Aokiji’s Ice Age and punched Sengoku’s giant Buddha palm head-on, creating a destructive shockwave that sent both fighters backward.
  • Garp, Akainu, and Aokiji reacted with astonishment when Lu Ge stood his ground against Sengoku’s attack.
  • Zephyr charged at Lu Ge from behind, but Lu Ge reacted in time and caught his punch with one hand.
  • Lu Ge used his Nascent Dimensional Power to devour Zephyr’s Armament Haki and strengthen his own, shocking Zephyr.
  • Garp attacked Lu Ge with Galaxy Impact, and Lu Ge opened a dark door in front of himself.

Ch. 44Heat-Heat Fruit

Lu Ge fought Karp, Sengoku, Zephyr, Akainu, and Aokiji, using his abilities to turn their attacks against them and sever Zephyr’s hand. Akainu trapped Lu Ge in a pool of magma, but Lu Ge proved unharmed, leading the Marines to suspect he possessed the Heat-Heat Fruit alongside the Door-Door Fruit.

  • Karp charged at Lu Ge but was teleported through the Dark Door into Sengoku, knocking Sengoku’s golden Buddha body into the ground.
  • Zephyr attacked Lu Ge while he was occupied, but Lu Ge dodged and severed Zephyr’s right hand, absorbing its Armament Haki.
  • Lu Ge clashed with Aokiji and Akainu, whose ice and magma attacks froze and scorched his arms.
  • Akainu formed a pool of magma around Lu Ge, expecting the heat to defeat him, but Lu Ge swam in it and gargled lava without harm.
  • Akainu and Aokiji realized Lu Ge might have a second Devil Fruit, and Zephyr identified it as the Heat-Heat Fruit.

Ch. 45Sakazuki

Lu Ge fought Garp, Sengoku, and Akainu, using his powers to drain Akainu while evading the others’ attacks. The battle continued with Akainu recovering and dodging Lu Ge’s Dark Door.

  • Lu Ge used his Nascent Dimensional Power to weaken Akainu and disrupt his Devil Fruit ability, while Garp and Sengoku rushed to help.
  • Garp found that Lu Ge’s doors prevented him from approaching, and Sengoku attacked with his giant Buddha form before Lu Ge could open a large enough door.
  • Lu Ge struck Akainu with a Haki-infused punch, then evaded Sengoku’s crushing attack and Garp’s Galaxy Impact using his foresight.
  • Akainu recovered, transformed into molten lava, and attacked Lu Ge with a massive magma fist.
  • Lu Ge opened a Dark Door using the Door-Door Fruit and Time-Time Fruit, but Akainu sensed it and dodged with Geppo.

Ch. 46Heaven-Slicing Sword-Drawing Technique

Lu Ge used his Door-Door Fruit to disorient Sengoku, then gravely wounded him with his Heaven-Slicing Sword-Drawing Technique. He unleashed the technique against Akainu as well, and Garp intervened to break the sword energy, leaving both Marines injured.

  • Lu Ge turned Sengoku into a spinning Revolving Door, then drew his sword and slashed through the Golden Great Buddha's chest.
  • Aokiji froze Sengoku's wound as Akainu and the others reacted in shock to Sengoku's grave injury.
  • Akainu attacked Lu Ge with Great Eruption, but Lu Ge's sword strike cleaved through the magma barrage and split Akainu's fist.
  • Garp struck the sword energy with Fist Bone Impact, shattering it, but the scattered sword light injured Garp and Akainu and sent them crashing into a crater.

Ch. 47Lu Ge vs. Garp

Lu Ge continued fighting the Marines after injuring Garp, Sengoku, and Akainu, while the group considered using Seastone against his Devil Fruit ability. Garp fought Lu Ge with a Seastone rod, but Lu Ge’s sword shattered it and wounded Garp’s hands.

  • Garp, Akainu, and Sengoku assessed their injuries and admitted Lu Ge’s ability and swordsmanship made him difficult to defeat.
  • Sengoku suggested using Seastone, and a Marine rear admiral brought Garp a Seastone rod.
  • Lu Ge recovered his stamina while the Marines talked, then accepted Garp’s challenge and fought him.
  • Lu Ge repeatedly clashed swords with Garp, whose Seastone rod quickly became dented under the force of Lu Ge’s blows.
  • Lu Ge broke the Seastone rod and slashed Garp’s hands, forcing him back.

Ch. 48Pacifista

Lu Ge fought Garp and the other Marines as his strength continued to grow, forcing Sengoku to call for their final measure. After the Pacifistas attacked indiscriminately, Lu Ge used doors to turn their lasers against them and escaped, leaving the Holy Land Mary Geoise in chaos.

  • Garp, Aokiji, and Akainu warned Sengoku that Lu Ge was growing stronger in battle and urged him to use the final measure.
  • Sengoku ordered Tsuru to prepare the final measure, but a well-dressed middle-aged man interrupted her in the command room.
  • More than twenty thousand Pacifistas emerged from underground and fired lasers at Lu Ge and the battlefield before Garp and the others could retreat far enough.
  • Lu Ge repeatedly appeared among the Pacifistas and escaped through doors, causing their lasers to destroy one another and leaving more than half killed or injured.
  • Lu Ge appeared beside Sengoku and the others, mocked their final measure, introduced himself, and vanished through a door.

Ch. 49A Safe Exit

Lu Ge escaped Mary Geoise after defeating the Marines’ forces and rejoined Boa Hancock and Rayleigh at sea. Sengoku faced Saint Rosward’s anger over the failed operation, while the group prepared to flee before the Marines could pursue them.

  • Lu Ge vanished from Mary Geoise, leaving Sengoku and the Marines to confront the destruction and their failure to capture him.
  • Saint Rosward berated Sengoku, learned Lu Ge was the world’s greatest swordsman, and ordered the scientist behind the Pacifistas executed.
  • Sengoku argued that the Pacifistas could be upgraded and said the Five Elders should decide the scientist’s fate.
  • Tsuru told Sengoku that Marshal Kong would have to answer for the deaths of four Celestial Dragons and the failed capture, and Sengoku learned Lu Ge had come for three slaves.
  • Lu Ge appeared beside Boa Hancock and Rayleigh on their boat, reassured Hancock, and urged them to leave before the Marines pursued them.

Ch. 50The Five Elders

Lu Ge rescued Hancock and her sisters and sailed with them toward Sabaody, while the Five Elders plotted to make him a target by branding him the world’s strongest pirate and assigning him a six-billion bounty. Kong was removed as Fleet Admiral, and the chapter ended with Lu Ge arriving at Shakky’s Rip-off Bar to find that news of his fame had spread.

  • Lu Ge brought the ship far from the island, and Hancock and her sisters thanked him and Rayleigh for helping them escape.
  • Lu Ge began cultivating aboard the ship while Rayleigh steered them toward the Sabaody Archipelago.
  • The Five Elders ordered Kong to eliminate Lu Ge and discussed provoking Whitebeard into fighting him by exaggerating Lu Ge’s reputation.
  • The Five Elders set Lu Ge’s bounty at six billion and replaced Kong as Fleet Admiral with Sengoku.
  • Lu Ge arrived at Shakky’s Rip-off Bar with Hancock and her sisters, where Bolan and the others welcomed them and told Lu Ge he had become famous.
