"Fine Snow!" Laglen roared.

He had no idea how strong Blackbeard was, but he had no choice except to face him head-on.

Laglen's power was a space-type Paramecia ability. Darkness suddenly swallowed Blackbeard and his crew. When they could see again, they had been separated into different areas.

"What's going on?" Blackbeard asked, puzzled.

He found himself in an enclosed space, so dark he couldn't see his hand in front of his face.

But he wasn't afraid. The black mist formed by Dark Water could devour almost anything, and it was greedily eating away at everything around him.

The moment Laglen activated his ability, his entire body tensed, as though he might explode at any second!

In the past, trapping someone as strong as a Shichibukai had nearly pushed his power to its limit.

He had fought Kuma once before, and suffered a crushing defeat.

To some extent, Kuma's ability was a natural counter to his. Laglen used his power to control his opponents.

Kuma's Paw-Paw Fruit could send him straight out of the controlled area.

And there were limits to whom Laglen could trap. His targets had to be relatively weak.

A thousand or so Marines, or a mob of weak pirates, would have been no problem. But trapping Blackbeard's entire crew at once, when every member was strong, could easily hurt him.

He couldn't worry about that now!

Van Augur had also been trapped. He found himself inside a magnificent palace gleaming with gold.

"Is this a projection?" he asked, adjusting the lens over his left eye.

His voice echoed through the enclosed space four or five times before fading.

"How irritating. I didn't even speak that loudly, did I?"

He raised his rifle, holding it across both arms.
