Background / History

Bullet was originally a child soldier in the Douglas Unit, where every soldier was called a “Bullet” and assigned a number. As the unit’s ninth member, he became known as the “ninth bullet of the Douglas Unit.” His battlefield strength earned him the reputation of a hero before he eventually resigned from the army. 218

At sixteen, Bullet’s strength already rivaled Rayleigh’s prime power. After meeting Roger, he joined the Roger Pirates and became one of their most formidable combatants. Even Roger’s crew regarded him as a “monster,” but Bullet responded to his reputation by training even harder. 217 218

After Roger became ill, Bullet suffered a psychological setback and followed a destructive path. He was eventually captured and imprisoned on Level 6 of Impel Down. After escaping, he reached Ghost Nest Island, where he encountered Blackbeard’s crew. 217 218

Bullet’s arrival at Ghost Nest Island turns Blackbeard’s escape into a crisis. He defeats or overwhelms several members of Blackbeard’s crew, forcing Blackbeard to negotiate rather than fight him directly. Their temporary alliance is formed because Blackbeard can disperse the island’s fog while Bullet provides overwhelming combat power. 217 219

Challenge to Big Mom

Bullet and Blackbeard confront Big Mom to remove her from the Four Emperors. Bullet withstands Prometheus’s flames, clashes directly with Big Mom, and eventually knocks her unconscious after she provokes him about his humiliation by Rocks. 220 221

He prepares to execute her, but Katakuri intervenes. Bullet continues overpowering the Big Mom Pirates until Katakuri uses Luo’s injuries to call Swain into the conflict. 221 222

Duel with Swain

Bullet initially fights Swain using weapon constructs and giant forms. Swain soon gains the advantage through superior speed and power, but Bullet refuses to retreat and unleashes his strongest techniques. 224 229

Swain ultimately defeats Bullet after a prolonged battle that devastates Cake Street and the surrounding area. Although Bullet is too dangerous to spare, Swain acknowledges him as a worthy opponent. 227 229

When Swain is about to execute him, Red-Haired arrives and reveals that Bullet knows how to activate an Ancient Weapon. This changes Bullet’s role from defeated enemy to a crucial source of forbidden knowledge. 230

Ancient Weapons and Mary Geoise

Bullet joins Red-Haired and Swain in a plan involving Wano’s Ancient Weapon, Imu, and the hidden history of the world. He favors a direct assault on Mary Geoise, while Red-Haired insists on infiltration because of the Ancient Weapon controlled by Imu. 231 234 235

During the infiltration, Bullet interrogates captured Celestial Dragons and helps locate the central area of Mary Geoise. He also participates in the search beneath the Five Elders’ council hall. 272 273 276

The Underworld and Pluton

Bullet and Swain descend into a hidden realm beneath the Red Line containing Genetic Humans, industrial facilities, and an enormous Seastone complex associated with Pluton. Bullet kills several Genetic Humans and excavates the entrance to the underground weapon facility. 277 281

Inside the facility, Bullet confronts a technologically produced clone of himself. The clone initially surpasses him in speed and appears to possess greater stamina, but Bullet wins through tactical deception and destroys it with Bullet—Destruction. 283 284
