Another Civilization?

The ruptured blood vessels were too much for the Sea King to withstand. Its brain had nearly become a sea of blood.

After two muffled wails, the Sea King stopped thrashing. Swain seized the chance, shaped his hand into a spear, and shot forward like a meteor.

Deep in the boundless ocean, Swain's face was cold as ice, his eyes shining with resolve.

He raised his right hand high. His palm gleamed with a razor-sharp edge. In a flash, Swain darted like a specter toward the inside of the massive Sea King's skull.

His hand came down with crushing force and sliced into the Sea King's enormous body.

With a rrrip, its tough hide split as easily as paper, cut cleanly from the inside out.

Thick blood gushed from the wound and poured freely into the water. The scent of blood spread swiftly through the sea.

Swain caught the heavy scent and frowned. He silently cursed himself for forgetting to contain the blood with seawater.

Just then, a strange change began to come over him.

A dim blue glow spread across his skin, as though he were becoming one with the surrounding sea.

The light was not still. It flowed slowly like ripples, looking especially mysterious in the dark depths.

As time passed, the glow grew stronger until it enveloped his entire body.

He could feel a mighty force surging within him, an ancient power drawn from the ocean's depths.

"Sure enough, whenever I use my power, some strange force flows into my body."

The force battered his meridians, leaving him exhilarated but also somewhat uncomfortable.

With that power flowing through him, his senses sharpened. He could clearly perceive the currents around him and the movements of tiny creatures.
