Vegapunk stood like a frozen statue, chin in hand, lost in deep thought. He remained that way for several hours. If his lips had not occasionally moved as he muttered softly to himself, others might truly have mistaken him for a lifeless sculpture.
Swain stood beside him, anxious and eager to ask what exactly he was thinking about.

Before his words had even faded, he hurriedly shoved Swain aside and rushed to the Poneglyph. Tilting his head back, he stared intently at the obscure lines of writing.
