"I will defeat you."

Palo closed his eyes, using every ounce of his remaining capacity to recover his stamina. By now, Jabra had completely let his guard down against him.

Yet Jabra's speed was simply too fast.

He had no way to hit Jabra at all.

"Tsk tsk, take a look at what you look like right now. You really are pathetic."

Jabra crossed his arms, looking down at Palo with pity.

In this state, yet he still refused to surrender. Why did he have to be so stubborn?

Even so, Jabra had no intention of letting Palo go.

Showing mercy to an enemy was cruelty to oneself.

"Is that so? Since your strength is so great, why does everyone else think Lucci is the strongest?"

"Bullshit! I'm the strongest! What even is Lucci?!"

At the mere mention of Lucci's name, Jabra instantly hit the ceiling. Of all things, he hated it most when people said Lucci was stronger than him!

How could Lucci possibly be stronger than him!

The corners of Palo's lips curved upward by a fraction.

He had known Jabra's weakness was this. Back when they were fighting earlier, Jabra kept muttering under his breath about how he was the strongest and what a nobody Lucci was.

Wretched as Palo looked, the expression on his face made Jabra furious.

As a loser, what right did he have to act so cocky, let alone claim he wasn't as strong as Lucci?

Jabra grabbed Palo by the collar, winding up a punch to strike.

However, Palo moved faster. His fist lashed out first, slamming squarely into Jabra's soft abdomen.

Jabra likely never expected Palo to still have the capacity to counterattack at a moment like this.
