The wind suddenly rose, nothing like the gentle breeze the Ancient One had summoned.
The wind Zhang Yang conjured surged with fierce intensity.
It was a gale.
But this gale did not sweep across the ground. It churned high in the sky.
At that moment, the sky and the earth became two separate worlds.
On the ground, both the mages of Kamar-Taj and everyone else on Earth could feel only a faint breeze rustling the leaves.
It stirred the dust on the ground, sending it drifting slowly into the air.
But one glance up at the sky.
Was enough to reveal how oppressively, terrifyingly dark it had become.
Even with the naked eye, they could see an incredibly terrifying hurricane churning overhead.
It was as though a tornado was about to descend.
"He actually separated them," Odin murmured as he watched.
To be honest, summoning wind was easy.
Summoning a tornado was easy, too.
For Odin or the Ancient One, either could be done with a wave of the hand.
But making the sky and the ground exhibit two different conditions truly required skill.
And not just skill. It required a mage's control over nature, magical energy, and magic itself. Not one of those three could be lacking.
Mastering all three was certainly beyond an ordinary mage.
