But Cull Obsidian's towering appearance did not make him imposing in the slightest.
He had a face scarier than the Hulk's and a personality even goofier than Star-Lord's. No wonder Thanos found him such a headache.
"Who told you these were all real?" Thanos said, his tone sharpening.
Come on. Couldn't you think for yourself?
There were only six Infinity Stones in total, yet there were over a hundred here.
Obviously, a whole pile of them were fake!
"Father, do you mean some of these are fake?" Supergiant asked.
"Yes." Thanos nodded.
"There are five kinds of Infinity Stones here. The Power Stone is missing, but we need only go to Xandar and take it. Once we have it, my plan can begin. Then the entire universe will be restored to balance!"
As Thanos spoke, his eyes shone.
It was the light of anticipation.
Seeing him like this, the Black Order's eyes lit up with the same anticipation.
After all,
they had followed Thanos because they knew of his plan.
They believed in it, and that was why they wanted to see it through together.
Now, they seemed just one step from their goal.
With their great undertaking nearly complete, excitement was only natural.
Ebony Maw, the most impatient of them, could no longer hold back. "Then, Father, please put on the Infinity Gauntlet at once! Let us go to Xandar!"
As he spoke, Ebony Maw knelt on one knee.
Seeing him kneel, the other four dropped to their knees in unison.
They looked up at Thanos together, waiting for him to set the stones in the Infinity Gauntlet and put it on.
Ebony Maw had considered doing it for him and presenting the Infinity Gauntlet with both hands.
The problem was,
there was an entire pile of this stuff.
