Background / History

Li Yi transmigrated into a parallel world and entered Dragon Nation's National Destiny Trial as a student of Tianhai No. 3 Middle School. Rejecting safer trial worlds, he selected the unexplored Primordial World and chose four advantages: the Three Thousand Deityfiends origin, a Companion Supreme Treasure, Formation Grandmastery, and Dao Platform Serenity 1.

He awakened as the Cosmos Demon God, a surviving Chaos Demon God whose cultivation had been damaged by the Creation Tribulation. Rather than act immediately during the Beast Calamity, he secluded himself within the Cosmos Cauldron for one million years, restoring his Primordial Unity Supreme Immortal cultivation before searching for a Daoist sanctuary 2 3.

After discovering and claiming Penglai Immortal Island, Li Yi became known across the Primordial World as the Heaven-Earth Daoist. He later used Yingzhou Island—obtained after Yin-Yang Daoist's death—as a second Daoist residence and the site of his Dao lectures 4 7 27.

National Destiny Trial

Li Yi chose the Primordial World despite his instructor Wang Gang's warnings and became Dragon Nation's unexpected leading trial participant. His success eventually secured Dragon Nation first place in National Destiny, despite observers initially dismissing his cultivation realm and his defeat of Qiongqi 1 8 24.

Penglai Island and the Beast Calamity

After recovering his cultivation, Li Yi claimed Penglai Island, killed Ao Jin and Xuangui, refined major treasures, and hunted fierce beasts for merit. He annihilated Qiongqi and more than ten Zenith Heaven-level fierce beasts, establishing the Heaven-Earth Daoist's reputation 3 4 5 7.

He later allied with Yuanfeng to kill Beast Emperor Shenni. Li Yi shielded both of them from Shenni's self-destruction, claimed Shenni's treasures, and received the greatest share of Beast Calamity Merit 9 10 11.

Three-Clan Calamity

Li Yi refused to directly enter the Dragon–Phoenix–Qilin war, but advised Yuanfeng to preserve gifted Phoenix Clan juniors. While the clans destroyed one another, he secretly used their blood baleful intent to complete the Twenty-Four Star Lodge Killing Formation, indirectly interfering with Luohou's preparations 12 13.

Dao-Devil War

Recognizing that hiding would leave him vulnerable to Hongjun after Hongjun's possible sainthood, Li Yi joined Hongjun, Yang Mei, and Yin-Yang Daoist against Luohou.
