Background / History

The Primordial World was created after Pangu opened heaven and earth. Its early history is defined by successive Calamity Cycles that reshape its ruling powers and distribute Fortune, Merit, territory, and Heavenly Dao Authority. 2 10 13

At the beginning of Li Yi's trial, the world is in the Beast Calamity Tribulation. Savage and ferocious beasts born from the baleful energy and resentment left by the Chaos Demon Gods threaten all races, while the Dragon, Phoenix, and Qilin Clans rise as major powers. 2 5 6

Following the deaths of Qiongqi, Shenni, and the other Beast Kings, the Beast Calamity ends. The Dragon Clan takes the seas, the Phoenix Clan occupies mountain ranges, and the Qilin Clan expands from Qilin Cliff. 7 10

The three clans later wage the Three Clans’ Calamity, a catastrophic war secretly intensified by Demon Ancestor Luohou. Their leaders ultimately make vows of atonement, withdraw from the world’s central stage, and end the calamity. 12 13

The subsequent Dao-Devil War pits Hongjun, Yang Mei, Yin-Yang Daoist, and Li Yi against Luohou and the Immortal-Slaying Sword Formation. Luohou’s self-destruction devastates the Western spiritual veins, ends the conflict, and releases immense Heavenly Dao Merit. 15 16 20

Li Yi’s achievements in the Primordial World secure first place in the National Destiny Trial for Dragon Nation. The resulting reward increases Dragon Nation’s Fortune and citizen comprehension by 50%, while doubling the initial identity talents of future Dragon Nation trial participants. 24

The world’s treasures later dominate the National Destiny weapon rankings. Li Yi occupies all one hundred listed positions, with the unfinished Chaos Gourd ranked first. 38 42
