Knock, knock—
Huanyue was just about to pour the drinks on the table down her throat again.
"Hmm?"
Hearing the sound, Huanyue's ears perked up like a cat's. She rose with impeccable elegance and pulled the door open a crack, only to see Origami Tobiichi's face steadily drawing closer through the gap.
"Hmm~ Miss Origami," Huanyue said, staring into the other girl's calm blue eyes for a moment. Finding no unexpected expression there, she relaxed a little and said openly, "Ehehe~ I already saw you home earlier. Did you come here for something else?"
"I left my computer parts here."
Origami said it with a calm, serious expression.
Yet Huanyue somehow felt that these computer parts were not the same kind of computer parts she had in mind.
It was probably Origami's reputation in her heart at work.
"...What?" An uneasy feeling inexplicably rose within Huanyue. She wanted to close the door again, but when she looked past Origami and spotted that blue head behind her, the feeling only grew stronger for some reason.
"I left my computer parts here."
Origami repeated.
"I don't remember anything like that at all." Huanyue's voice turned soft and sweet as she looked up. "Are you teasing me again, Miss Origami? If you keep bullying poor Huanyue-chan like this, I'm going to cry."
"Sorry for disturbing you so late, Huanyue. About that..." Shiori awkwardly clutched a corner of her yukata, so conflicted that her palms had begun to sweat.
"That's so mean." Huanyue interrupted Shiori with a pout. She narrowed her eyes and opened the door a little wider as well, seeming displeased by the fact that Shiori had followed Origami here. With a delicate fingertip, she poked at Shiori's meager conscience. "Even you came along to tease me, Shiori?"
"No, that's not it."
