Zebon's Death

The Stone shinobi, Chunin and Genin alike, held no interest for Fugaku. His Sharingan swept over them, and even through the heavy rain, it sent a shiver through their hearts.

His Kunai flashed, drawing streaks of blood. A large force of Stone shinobi pursued him, and Ōnoki had appeared in the sky.

Below, Zebon and Furukawa were closing in at full speed.

With the Body Flicker Technique, Fugaku surged forward again. No sooner had his feet touched down than the ground turned soft beneath him.

Fugaku leaped up again and formed hand seals.

"Earth Release: Earth Dragon Bullet!"

An earthen dragon raised its head from the swamp. Fugaku tapped its head with his foot and used the Body Flicker Technique again.

The ground at his intended landing point suddenly sank. It was the Earth Moving Core.

Concealed weapons flew at him in waves from behind. The Stone shinobi's coordinated attacks were genuinely difficult to guard against.

Ōnoki hovered overhead, ready to strike at any moment. Zebon and Furukawa were already close.

"Shadow Clone Technique!"

Fugaku created another Shadow Clone. It seized his real body and hurled him toward a safe stretch of level ground.

While airborne, Fugaku produced four more Explosive Kunai and flung them behind him.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

Four explosions tore through the crowd. Taking advantage of the brief chaos, Fugaku used the Body Flicker Technique several times in succession and broke out of the Camp. A bottle of Soldier Pills appeared in his hand, and he popped one into his mouth.

The repeated Shadow Clones had consumed most of his Chakra. He needed to replenish it at once.

Scores of Ninja pursued him, led by Zebon and Furukawa. Beyond the Iwagakure Camp, the wilds of the Land of Rain lay in darkness.
