After hearing Koharu's words, Homura fell silent for a long time. He knew what kind of man Danzo was.
The Advisor position had long since strayed from its original purpose. It had been created because the Hokage was too young: several Advisors could help him stand up to Konoha's older generation and handle political affairs, keeping his youth from leading to mistakes.

"Danzo must be close to losing his mind by now. He's bound to have sent a large number of Ninja to investigate," Fugaku said.
Takigawa laughed. "I was wondering how this got so big. At first, the two of us only spread it among a few people.
"But the moment the rumors surfaced, they took off. So Danzo had already made everyone angry. We've done a good deed."
"Don't celebrate too soon," Jin said. "The final outcome still depends on what the Hokage wants. Even if Danzo loses his position as Advisor,
"he'll still lead Root and control Konoha's spy network. He won't be able to throw his weight
