Calling it a hard-fought battle would have been no exaggeration, but reality was that cruel.

He knew perfectly well that if creatures like Lava Kobolds existed, fully adapted to scorching volcanic environments, there would inevitably be creatures naturally adapted to extreme cold as well.

The Kobolds' genes differed greatly from those of the Ascetics.

The special enzyme systems in their genetic code were also found to have corrosive properties. Not only could they directly synthesize high-sulfur proteins, but tests on Black Domain's bones also revealed signs of mineralization.
