"Who's there?" White Moon's harmless gaze turned sharp. His whole body tensed into a defensive stance.

There was no trace of a smile in his eyes.
Night fell, and the stars shone brightly.

He knew the answer, but feelings did not obey reason.

Ji Qi patted his head. "Don't be sad. Getting rejected is normal."

The wind was strong on the rooftop, and their voices were louder still.
