After I go home tomorrow, can I still come to see you?

Accompanying them was Bu Changqin, dressed in casual pajamas, in the passenger seat.

It was late at night and the dew was heavy. He was worried about his wife going out alone. When he saw what was happening, he could only laugh and cry at the same time. He had actually been Xing Yue, but it was nothing serious. He had always been tolerant and peaceful.

"Yaoyao is the same. She's such a grown woman, yet she changes her mind so easily. One time she called and said she'd come down right away, but less than five minutes later she said she wasn't coming back." Although the man's words carried a hint of helplessness, there was no blame in his tone.

Ji Wenyan didn't have such a good temper. After being tricked by Xing Yue, her eyes were filled with coldness. "Xiao Yue's career has suddenly taken a turn for the worse, and you're worried she won't be able to get through it? I think she has plenty of energy to cause trouble."

Bu Changqin put his hand on Ji Wenyan's shoulder and sighed, "Madam, you still need to get along with Xiaoyue in the future. Your relationship is too tense. Even if you don't care about Xiaoyue, you should at least consider Yaoyao's feelings. As the saying goes, 'love me, love my dog.' If you get along well with Xiaoyue, our daughter will be happier. Look at her these past few days, she has no appetite and won't leave the house. She wasn't happy on her birthday either. You should stop interfering in their affairs."

Ji Wenyan looked down on Xing Yue, not only because of his family background, but also because Xing Yue's Snake Species was not monogamous. Because he was currently suffering from a leg ailment, his snake tail could not be exposed. Once his snake tail was cured, it meant that Xing Yue would follow his nature and have a mating season, and the mating season would become a major driving force for infidelity.

If Xing Yue doesn't treat her leg ailment, she'll be in a wheelchair by her forties or fifties at the latest. Tell me, which parent in the world would let their daughter be with a disabled person?

If the Fire Snake were also a promiscuous Snake Species, she wouldn't have to worry about Bu Yao being harmed at all. However, the Fire Snake has not been governed by estrus cycles for hundreds of years and is the Snake Species in the world that truly practices Monogamy the most.

While other snakes consider infidelity normal, only the Fire Snake condemns it. After all, current Marriage Law stipulate Monogamy, and few snakes can restrain themselves, but that doesn't mean none can. The heat cycle is not a reason for infidelity.

Many people have subconsciously come to regard infidelity as normal. It will take a very long time—perhaps fifty, one hundred, or two hundred years—for people to truly understand and accept physical and emotional fidelity.

How can she possibly extend her love for the house to its inhabitants?

That's why she hoped Bu Yao could be with a snake who was a good match for her family background and devoted to her, and not with Xing Yue was so frivolous.

The Bu Family is not short of money, but they need a capable person to assist Bu Yao in taking over the family business.

In the room, Xing Yue finished showering and washed his clothes as well.

Bu Yao, wearing her shirt, stood in the small kitchen wiping dishes. The sink was covered in soapy foam, probably from squeezing out too much. The dishes were barely visible, and she could only grope for the foam.

But Bu Yao really wasn't the type of person to do these things. She had only been in the water for a short time when her hands felt numb and itchy. She didn't dare to scratch them or take her hands out, afraid that Xing Yue would think she couldn't wash dishes or take care of people. She just grabbed the bowls and chopsticks and rubbed and wiped them haphazardly.

His hands were itching so badly that he couldn't even hold the bowl properly. The ear-piercing sound of shattering porcelain echoed in the room as Xing Yue's newly purchased bowl smashed to pieces on the floor.

In her Bu Yao overturned the entire basin, spilling several dishes and soup bowls. The balcony floor was covered in dish soap foam and broken bowls and chopsticks...

Xing Yue heard the noise and came out of the bathroom, still holding clothes she was about to hang to dry. She immediately saw Bu Yao standing there blankly, looking at her helplessly and anxiously, her hands covered in soap, red and swollen.

She put down her clothes and came over.

Bu Yao opened her mouth and muttered, "Xing Yue, the bowl you bought is too slippery..."

Xing Yue nodded in agreement. "Yeah, yeah, the Earth's gravity is just too strong."

She took those hands and rinsed them under the tap, washing away the foam. The red rashes on her wrists and the backs of her hands were clearly visible, and her palms and fingers were covered in them.

Bu Yao is allergic to both latex and chemical detergents, and this is probably the first time she has ever used dish soap in 28 years.

After washing his hands, Xing Yue picked her up and placed her on the bed. He then took a clean towel, dried Bu Yao's hands and feet, and found Calamine Lotion in the first-aid kit.

"Can't you feel your hands? They're so swollen, why are you soaking them in dish soap?" she said, shaking the bottle of Calamine Lotion that could relieve itching, and then using a cotton swab to apply it to Bu Yao's hands.

Xing Yue admitted it; Bu Yao was born with the life of a pampered young lady, and there was no arguing about it.

"I'm afraid you'll say I don't know how to wash dishes." The woman felt wronged, her hands ached, her heart ached, and her nose even stung with tears.

Xing Yue flicked the little hand covered in red rashes. "Did I misspoke?"

Bu Yao had never cared about such things before. If she didn't know how, she didn't care. She had plenty of people at home to wash the dishes for her, so why should she know how? But ever since Xing Yue said last night that he looked down on her for not knowing how to do anything, she started to care.

There was no one else here, only her and Xing Yue. There weren't many people to wash the dishes for her. If she didn't wash them, Xing Yue would have to do it, which would mean that Xing Yue's status would become that of a servant who washed the dishes for her in the house.

Only if she washes the dishes with him will Xing Yue not become a servant.

Seeing that Bu Yao had suddenly become mute and didn't say anything, Xing Yue shifted his gaze from her allergic hand and looked up. "What's wrong? Are you sulking?"

Bu Yao shook her head without saying a word, then climbed into bed. "After I go home tomorrow, can I still come to see you?"

Xing Yue countered, "Does my answer matter?"

It doesn't matter. Whether Xing Yue allows it or not, Bu Yao will come anyway.

Although Xing Yue was reluctant to admit it, her attitude softened after being intimate with Miss Bu. No matter how heartless she spoke, she would still soften her heart when Bu Yao cried and climbed into her arms.

Xing Yue is a very sensitive and gentle person. Even if Bu Yao didn't boil the water properly or wash the dishes, in her eyes, Bu Yao had already boiled the water and washed the dishes.

She wondered if those words were too hurtful, that Bu Yao Yaoshou was in so much pain, she didn't dare tell her.

Xing Yue tidied up the balcony, hung the clothes out to dry, and had just lain down on the bed when the little stove snuggled in, and the snake's tail coiled into her palm, seeking comfort.

The cloud-like peaks obscured her view; the air was filled with a warm fragrance, and darkness enveloped her.

Bu Yao patted her head and said, "Just let me pursue you, sister..."
