Chen Jiashu steadied Shen Luoluo and watched the boy opposite him go from bewilderment to suspicion, anger, and finally disdain. His expression changed several times, but he never apologized.

"Move!" With that, he tried to shove Chen Jiashu aside.

At the same moment, Qi Yang grabbed Chen Jiashu by the collar, pulled him behind him, and stepped forward.

Shen Jiayan missed Chen Jiashu and nearly collided with Qi Yang instead. He took a wary step back and looked up at him.

Qi Yang looked down at him coldly. The pressure hit at once, and Shen Jiayan couldn't help cursing inwardly. Damn it, why is he so tall?

The tension was ready to snap.

Then a familiar voice broke through it.

"Shen Jiayan? What are you doing here?"

As the four of them looked at one another, Chen Jiashu suddenly grinned.

Now that her brother was here, Qi Yang and Chen Jiashu could hardly stay between them, especially when the boy was so hostile toward them.

The two said goodbye and left first.

After they had walked a short distance, Chen Jiashu glanced back at the two figures behind them, one tall and one short. "I didn't get a good look when we almost started fighting. Now that I do, the brother and sister look pretty alike."

"If I'd known he was her brother, I definitely would've been nicer. That kid's got quite a temper, though."

Remembering how close they had come to a fight, Chen Jiashu grinned again. "But what was that about, Qi Yang? How'd you offend her brother so badly?"

Qi Yang shrugged. "How would I know? Maybe he's jealous I'm better-looking than him."

Forget he'd asked.

"Besides, aren't the first-year classrooms in another building? Why did her brother come over here? If he wanted to go home with Shen Luoluo after class, he could've waited at the school gate or in the car. He came all the way over here..."

Shen Jiayan huffed. "I came to find someone. I happened to pass your classroom and got bumped into." His backside still hurt!
