Hu Xuelin and Qian Ruiling were both second-generation rich. More than twenty years ago, Hu Xuelin's father, Hu Daguo, was a township entrepreneur in Da'an Town, Yulin County, on the outskirts of Donghai City. He owned four factories of various sizes.

Qian Dejun, Qian Ruiling's father, was a township entrepreneur in Qingyuan Town, Yulin County. He owned three factories, and both men were worth tens of millions.

Hu Daguo and Qian Dejun had met through business in the early 1990s. They often visited one another, and their relationship grew increasingly close.

At the end of the last century, Hu Xilin was twenty-four, while Qian Ruiling was twenty-one. Their parents arranged a blind date for them, and the two married. Although it was an arranged marriage, they had taken a liking to each other, so the wedding went smoothly.

The characters "Xirui" came from the middle characters of Hu Xilin and Qian Ruilin's names. Put together, they became the origin of Xirui Electronics.

After the beginning of the new era, both Hu Daguo and Qian Dejun began to fall behind the times. Their outdated business thinking and lack of daring kept their businesses from growing further. Their children, Hu Xuelin and Qian Ruiling, however, rose to prominence.

Xierui Electronics had undergone financing and acquisitions and pursued aggressive expansion.
