He made his decision, then swiftly swiped his card and bought the entire flat. Turning to Acheron, he spoke.
"Do you need me to find you a guide?"
It was an eviction order. Acheron understood immediately.
"No need. I'll take a walk by myself. Once it gets dark, send me the coordinates, and I'll come find you."
Russell nodded, then took Durandal and Rita by the hand and left.
For a moment,
only Acheron remained on the street.
Acheron watched the cheerful crowd around her.
Every single person seemed somewhat strange.
She rather liked the atmosphere of this city. It was nice to wander around aimlessly once in a while.
Just like most people who enjoyed taking walks,
she wandered without purpose, watching the crowds flow around her like a philosopher.
After who knew how long, a white figure appeared before Acheron.
"Why are you here?"
The white-haired, blue-eyed girl looked at her in confusion and asked.
"Taking a walk."
Acheron answered simply.
"Huh? But you don't know your way around. Forget it, forget it, I'll show you around."
"There's a dessert shop up ahead that's especially good."
The girl seemed exceptionally warmhearted and volunteered to guide Acheron.
There was no need for that.
Acheron thought so, but when she looked at that familiar face, she did not know how to refuse for a moment. So she nodded and followed her.
They passed through the surging crowds and wound through twisting alleys in search of good food.
Just as they were about to reach the shop, a figure lingering outside its entrance passed directly in front of Acheron.
Unshaven, dressed in a refined suit jacket beneath a researcher's white lab coat, he looked utterly exhausted. Even so, he was still handsome.
Time seemed to stop at that instant.
Acheron's heart
