Background and History

In his previous life, Ye Beixuan was an ordinary fan of novels and anime, particularly the Douluo Continent series. After dying at his computer, he arrived on Douluo Continent with the Divine Illumination Scripture and the Eighteen Dragon-Subduing Palms. He believed those techniques and his knowledge of the story would let him rise through the soul master world 4.

At the White Tiger Duke’s Estate, Ye advanced from servant to guard. He regularly brought food to Huo Yuhao and Huo Yun’er and drove away servants who bullied them. Huo Yuhao’s trust ended after he overheard Ye talking in his sleep about pursuing Huo Yun’er and changing Yuhao into a girl 1.

Ye intervened when Dai Huabin’s guards attacked Huo Yuhao and Huo Yun’er. He publicly revealed Yuhao’s parentage, then tried to persuade Dai Huabin to become his disciple. Dai instead ordered his eight guards to kill Ye. Ye fought them off, but a Level 2 Fixed Soul Guidance Cannon Shell left him severely burned and apparently dead 3. The public revelation also led Dai to abandon his attack on Huo Yun’er and Yuhao rather than risk his father hearing of it 4.

The Divine Illumination Scripture kept Ye alive through the blast. While he was too injured to defend himself, Huo Yuhao tricked him into looking away and killed him with the White Tiger Dagger. A shared reference revealed to Ye, just before his death, that Yuhao was also a transmigrator 4. Yuhao subsequently burned and buried Ye’s remains and took his storage ring 5.
