The protagonist doesn't sleep all the time anymore.

I swear on my son, he really doesn't. He's developed some new hobbies.

My original plan was for the protagonist to slack off and grow stronger through the returns he received, while Qian Renxue's and Huo Yuhao's shocked reactions would provide the payoff.

But I was too narrow-minded.

I took "slacking off"...

And turned him into the king of naps.

As for Huo Yuhao's characterization, I've thought about that too.

In his previous life, Huo Yuhao was indoctrinated by Shrek Academy for decades, then by Tang San for tens of thousands of years. Shrek's records portrayed Spirit Hall as an evil force bent on destroying the continent—the most evil force of all.

In this life, Huo Yuhao is only six. He's never left Spirit Hall, so he doesn't know what outsiders think of it.

You know Spirit Hall is good.

That's because you have a god's-eye view.

Huo Yuhao doesn't. Later, he'll go out and see the world for himself, and learn what Spirit Hall is really like.

In chapter 37, Huo Yuhao will begin to change his mind. It all happens gradually.

After all, Huo Yuhao was indoctrinated for tens of thousands of years.

Some of you have also raised concerns about Huo Yuhao's personality. But he isn't the innocent six-year-old he was at the start of his previous life. He's lived an entire lifetime. His closest family schemed against him and hurt him. His father-in-law killed him. And then there was what he went through in Heavenly Love Valley.

If Huo Yuhao could still be pure and innocent after all that?
