Naruto couldn't help slapping a hand to his forehead. "Teacher Kaido! That's Obito Uchiha! Didn't the Canopy Screen say so?!"

Might Guy paused, then punched his right fist into his left palm, looking as if it had finally dawned on him. "Oh! Obito Uchiha! Who was Obito Uchiha again?"

"Hahaha..." Obito let out a low, complicated laugh at the sight of Guy, edged with mockery and an ache of nostalgia.

Just then, another figure rushed toward them, silver-white hair whipping in the wind.

"Obito! Stop!"

Kakashi landed and pushed up his Forehead Protector, revealing the Sharingan that had come from the same source as Obito's. Pain and urgency filled his eyes. "What happened to Rin back then, and to Minato-sensei—it's all in the past! Don't keep making the same mistake!"

"Shut up, Kakashi!" Obito roared like a wounded beast, cutting him off. "You have no right to speak of Rin! And you certainly have no right to decide it's in the past for her!"

His lone eye locked onto Kakashi, his voice cold as a wind from hell. "Use that eye of yours and watch closely! Witness the future of this rotten Shinobi World, doomed to fall apart!"

"I won't let you get away with it!" Naruto Uzumaki shouted again, his voice unwavering. "Whatever you're planning, I'll stop you!"

"Hmph. Then try, Naruto Uzumaki!" Obito's form slowly warped and turned transparent, vanishing into swirling ripples of space-time as though sinking beneath water. Only his final threat lingered among the trees. "We'll meet again soon."
