"Uncle Jackie!" Boruto ran over, delighted.

Jackie Chan turned and saw him. He smiled and nodded in greeting, then immediately turned back to the stall owner.

"Boss, can't you go any lower on this badge? Look at the wear around the edges, and all this rust..."

The stall owner was a shrewd-looking Sunagakure local with dark skin. He folded his arms, his tone firm.

"Thirty million! Not a coin less! This is an authentic antique from the Warring States Period! Just look at the craftsmanship, the history!"

"Thirty million?!" Boruto sucked in a breath and nearly shouted, his eyes going round. For this beat-up little piece of metal? That's robbery!

Jackie Chan didn't bat an eye. He slowly pulled a stack of bills from his pocket and weighed it in his hand. His voice was mild, but it carried the confidence of a seasoned bargainer.

"Boss, I'm serious about buying it. How about this: thirty thousand. If you agree, I'll pay right now. If not, I'll browse the other stalls. This is the only thing here that caught my eye. As for the rest..."

He gave the other items on the stall a pointed glance and shook his head.

The stall owner looked at the solid stack of cash in Jackie Chan's hand, then at the other odds and ends on his stall that no one seemed interested in. His expression turned conflicted.

He stared at Jackie Chan for a few seconds, glanced at the badge, then finally snatched the money from his hand as if making a painful decision. He shoved the badge at him and said irritably, "Fine, fine! Deal! I'm selling it to you at a loss! Now take it and go!"

Boruto stood beside them, dumbfounded. His jaw nearly hit the ground.
